Today at Citi Field in Flushing, NY, RA Dickey will be pitching for his 20th win of the season for the NY Mets. The last time the Mets had a 20 game winner was in 1990 by Frank Viola. Only 5 different pitchers have won 20 games for the Mets in their 50 years, with Tom Seaver leading the way with 25 victories in the 69 season.
The Mets have been playing better since the 16-1 thrashing by the Phillies winning 5 of their last 6 and Mets fans everywhere will be glued to the TV or computers rooting on the Mets and RA Dickey. Winning 20 games will go a long way for RA to winning the Cy Young award. I for one will not miss a pitch.
