Not Ready for Prime Time

The NY Mets tantalized fans the last couple of weeks by shedding their midsummer collapse by winning 7 the last 8 games only to run into the defending champs, the St. Louis Cardinals. Last night the Mets and Matt Harvey showed why they are a team not ready for prime time. The Mets had chances and pounded out 9 hits one shy of the Cards 10, but the Cards scored 5 times on their hits and the Mets only once. This has been the demise of the Mets the second half of the year, timely hitting has become nonexistent. The lack of right handed power was evident last night as the Mets left 16 runners on base.

Today RA Dickey goes for his league leading 18th win and as Mets fans have come to say "In Dickey We Trust"
