The Mets came out swinging last night scoring 2 before the Nationals took a swing and Johan Santana was perfect for 3 frames, but as quick as lighting or in this case Michael Morris who cranked a grand slam and Santana was cooked. Brice Harper who was mired in a 4 for 40 something slump went 2-3 with a monster HR in the next frame as the Nationals increased there lead by two.
The gutty Mets tried to come back but came up short and a 6-4 loss was in the books. Mets fans have seen this before, but this time they also know next year will be better. There is hope for the fans and the boys from Flushing will be better next year.

The home town NY Giants and NY Jets will play their annual preseason game in their home stadium tonight. I can remember my first NY Giants NY Jets game. The Giants were forced to play at the Yale Bowl for a couple of years as they left the Bronx and Yankee Stadium for the NJ Meadowlands and Giants Stadium in 1973. Tonight's game will match the NFL Champs against a Jets team many believe will have a world class defense and a who's on first offense.
The Ryan led Jets have a lot to prove this year. The big challenge for the Jets is being better than 8-8 as they were last year. Confusion at quarterback with Sanchez and Tebow is the big question mark for the Jets along with who is going to run and catch the ball?
