So What About the Jets

I watched the Jets preseason game this past Saturday and came away shaking my head wondering just who will score for the Green and White this season. Mark Sanchez looked like Mark Sanchez and there lays the problem.

Sanchez took the Jets to the playoffs his first two years with the team because of a fabulous defense and an offense that ran the ball and ran the ball eating the clock and the time the other team's offense had to spend on the field. Saturday their was no rhyme or reason for what ever the Jets did on offense. There was no flow, no rhythm and the Jets went another half with the starters getting shut out of the end zone again by the Panthers defense.

The once heralded ground game never got going as Shaun Green needs huge holes to get to daylight and the offensive line just does not provide that. Without a running game Sanchez and the Jets are going nowhere fast. There just is not enough scoring power on an anemic offense to generate a sustained drive for the NY Jets.
