Sometimes Chicken Sometimes Feathers

The NY Mets lost 3-0 last night in Cincinnati to the very good Reds team. While everyone in the East believes the Nationals and Braves are the cream of the crop, the Reds have very quietly won their 70th game and are 1 1/2 behind the nationals with the second best record in the MLB playing .603 ball.
Last night the Mets had plenty of chances (17 LOB) as did the Reds (23LOB) Chris Young and the relief corp had a WHIP +2 for the game but held the Reds scoreless until Jay Bruce's bomb in the bottom of the 9th.
Tonight will be a different story as RA Dickey goes for a league leading 16th win. Including last night the Mets still hold a 18-12 winning record at the Reds home field, The Great American Ball Park. Lets hope the magic returns for the boys from Flushing and Mr. Dickey.
