Mets Win, Jets Crash and Burn

Jon Neise is molding into a very good left handed pitcher for the NY Mets and it could not happen at a better time. Last night he stymied the league leading Nationals on 5 hits before the bull pen came on to get the last 5 outs. The Nationals did not hit the ball hard and the couple of time Neise was in minor trouble he got out of the jams with dominating pitching. Ike Davis' 22 HR was all the offense Neise needed in beating the Nationals and fine themselves in position to win the series today with Jeremy Hefner getting the ball against Gio Gonzales. The left handed dominate Mets will have their hands full of one of the MLBs best lefty pitchers. LGM

The NY Jets did very little well last night, the offense was non existent for the starting eleven and the Jets defense let Eli and Giants move the ball down the field for a 16-0 half time lead. Sanchez and company did not look well as the Giant defense sacked the Jets QB twice and NY was never in an offensive flow.
In the second half Tebow led to Jets to 2 field goals against the second team defense of the G-Men, but he also under threw rookie Steven Hill standing alone in the end zone and on some passes looked awful throwing the ball.
I dont know what Rex Ryan has in store for the Jets this season, but if last nights game was a microcosm, the Jets will be lucky if they can win 4 games this season. The Ryan / Sanchez era maybe over sooner than later.  LGJ
